2011 was a watershed year in my photography career. The opportunity of shooting more weddings this year gave me the experience to develop my skills and shooting eye to narrow the kind of look my weddings have. My story telling coverage focused more on fashion and elegance. Of course the story followed the intent of the couples moods and emotions but I also incorporated more real moments and environmental backgrounds in my shots. I used to shoot 5000 plus pictures throughout a wedding between my second and myself. Now, all my clients’ weddings are getting more focused shot selection coverage. The feel of each wedding has a certain look even if the bride and venue are different from week to week. The total shots have come down to more like 3000 plus shots. Of course not every wedding falls under these exact numbers but taken as an average they do. After critical review and scrutiny of the wedding photos a story and look appear. The tone and mood and emotions rise out of the numbers to tell a great story. This year I would like to see even more razor like focus and truly capture the ultimate timed moments. Hopefully it will be your wedding I get to display my new found skills of ultimate timeliness and anticipation. In the meantime, please enjoy the year in review as I was honored to be a part of all these weddings in 2011.
