I really enjoy engagement sessions. Unlike a wedding, I get a second chance to get the shot right in the camera. It also gives me and my clients time to get to know one another before we do a wedding together. It also allows the couple to practice posing, to have a camera in front of their face and it gives them a chance to get the look right. I will many times let the couple look at the back of the camera to see what a certain shot looks like. Many times they will ask if we can do it again with a twist or a different angle. They soon get the idea of what look they want and how they might change things up to get it. I have some very creative clients. I also will collaborate with them and the three of us will put our heads together to come up with a great look. Often times if not all the time we have a great time with lots of laughs. Its my way to have fun with my duo passions of photography and hanging out with people. Many times the shot will be the joint effort for all the ideas incorporated together. Of course if you feel like you want me to set up all the shots, I can and have done that as well. I’m big into not inserting my ego into the client’s day but rather working with their personalities and comfort levels.
