Before I post the pictures, I wanted to give you a little background to the story of this week’s wedding held at Haggin Oaks Golf course. The married couple is Marco and Kellie. Their story is unique in that all their adult lives they have been attending school. Marco has a PHD in math and teaches at Cal Berkeley. Kellie is finishing her PHD at Stonybrook in New York in environmental studies. Now two coasts apart they met in the middle in Chicago at……… a party of all places. (I told you they were in school) Their romance bloomed, love lead to the inevitable and the question was where to get married. He is from Italy and she from Sacramento.
This is the the interesting part of the story as Kellie grew up here in the Sacramento area so they decided they would do two weddings. One here in Sacramento, at the Haggin Oaks Golf course and one in a basilica in Milan, Italy where Marco is from. Doesn’t that sound fun!!!
Ok………. the best part of the story, Kellie was a kindergarten student in my wife’s class 22 years ago. Now we end up at her wedding as her photographers. Kellie had heard through the grapevine we do wedding photography in Sacramento and Northern California so we were asked to do her wedding. Its gratifying for my wife to see one of her students accomplish her educational goals such as Kellie has done. By the way Kellie was a gorgeous bride on her wedding day!!!
