I had so much fun the other day spending time with Jason and Brittney. Their wedding will be in September but the opportunity for our shoot just came up since syncing all the working calendars can be somewhat problematic. What a day weather wise it was. Worrying about rain or no rain sunshine or no sunshine it didn’t matter because our schedules worked. Well mother some nature did some of her magic and provided a spectacular day. I was in a good mood and Jason and Brittney were in a good mood and looked really handsome and beautiful respectively.
Our first location was Capitol Park in Sacramento. It is such a pretty place this time of the year. The roses were about two weeks away from budding but other plants were already in their full color glory. We walked and walked looking for good light with some color backgrounds. I think today we hit the jackpot as Jason and Brittney really lit up Capitol Park.
Our second destination was Old Sacramento. A historic town from the gold mining days, the state has done a good job of restoring the buildings to look just like the Gold Rush days. Old Sacramento had some surprises waiting for us. Again we looked for some good lighting as Jason Brittney and myself went wondering around town to find the right combination of setting and light. They really made the town look good. We hit gold as the light really cooperated with us. We also found some out of the way locations to take some pictures which really added some texture to our shots.
What a day, Capitol Park and Old Sacramento, a great couple and cooperative lighting-doesn’t get much better than that. Enjoy!!
