I pride myself on shooting with available light in most wedding situations but a few time last year I felt I could have used some flash or video lights. So off to B and H in New York. It is the candy land of professional photographers. It has everything any photographer would need in any situation that would face a photographer. In my case I needed a video light and a softbox that would be portable for weddings. I found Photoflex equipment to fill my lighting needs for flash use and a Dedo video light for those occasions I am in a small cramped dark place with my bride and groom.
When you buy toys one has to go and play to see if it works and to see if its fun to play with. In both cases the new equipment filled the bill. Here are some pictures of myself and Ruth with the addition of lights in some darker situations or in places where we needed to lift some shadows. Ty did the majority of the shooting and I really liked the results. He is such a good photographer in his own right. Of course I think Ruth came out looking better than me but isn’t that always the case. Enjoy!!
