Well, I had one of the most challenging days for an engagement shoot. Chris and Valerie were interested in having some Capitol Park pictures and some city grunge shots too. This kind of request isn’t out of the ordinary but their wedding in June will be held downtown and the reception across the street from Capitol Park at the Hyatt. The bridal and couple shoots will be shot most likely at the park so we couldn’t use some of the good spots and had to save them for the wedding. We didn’t want to duplicate our backgrounds so we shot photo journalistic kinds of shots to take advantage of the activities going on at the park and city. You’ll see some prom activities, a wedding group and some mural backgrounds.
I had so much fun to get our shots. We got in the car after the Capitol Park pictures and drove around town to some warehouses in not the best part of town. Chris and Valerie are really good sports. The pictures were easy to come by because they just jumped in to any situation and made the pictures work.
After the warehouses, we drove over to Old Sacramento to get a tunnel shot with the great vivid colors in the tunnel between the Holiday Inn and Old Sacramento. Finally a golden lit Tower Bridge shot. I hope you enjoy looking as much as we had fun taking the pictures.
