My assignment this week was to cover one day of the LA Unified School District math inservice for a well known publishing company. All the 450 teachers who attended this week long professional workshop gave up a part of their summer to learn how to use a new math program for next school year.
I really was impressed with their professionalism and knowledge of math. There are two things in life I’m very passionate about, kids and their attaining an education. I am a believer of going the extra mile for kids and especially if it means helping out with my time. I volunteer at a drop of a hat for any issues involving kids. I guess thats why I never get to go fly fishing anymore. (Sounds like whining to me) Oh well there will come a day to get back on the water. For now a day in the life of a teacher…………………………….
