Sacramento Wedding Photographer/Highlights of Engagement Shoots for 2011

I really enjoy engagement sessions. Unlike a wedding, I get a second chance to get the shot right in the camera. It also gives me and my clients time to get to know one another before we do a wedding together. It also allows the couple to practice posing, to have a camera in front of their face and it gives them a chance to get the look right. I will many times let the couple look at the back of the camera to see what a certain shot looks like. Many times they will ask if we can do it again with a twist or a different angle. They soon get the idea of what look they want and how they might change things up to get it. I have some very creative clients. I also will collaborate with them and the three of us will put our heads together to come up with a great look. Often times if not all the time we have a great time with lots of laughs. Its my way to have fun with my duo passions of photography and hanging out with people. Many times the shot will be the joint effort for all the ideas incorporated together. Of course if you feel like you want me to set up all the shots, I can and have done that as well. I’m big into not inserting my ego into the client’s day but rather working with their personalities and comfort levels. Sacramento Wedding Photographer/Highlights of Weddings in 2011

2011 was a watershed year in my photography career. The opportunity of shooting more weddings this year gave me the experience to develop my skills and shooting eye to narrow the kind of look my weddings have. My story telling coverage focused more on fashion and elegance. Of course the story followed the intent of the couples moods and emotions but I also incorporated more real moments and environmental backgrounds in my shots. I used to shoot 5000 plus pictures throughout a wedding between my second and myself. Now, all my clients’ weddings are getting more focused shot selection coverage. The feel of each wedding has a certain look even if the bride and venue are different from week to week. The total shots have come down to more like 3000 plus shots. Of course not every wedding falls under these exact numbers but taken as an average they do. After critical review and scrutiny of the wedding photos a story and look appear. The tone and mood and emotions rise out of the numbers to tell a great story. This year I would like to see even more razor like focus and truly capture the ultimate timed moments. Hopefully it will be your wedding I get to display my new found skills of ultimate timeliness and anticipation. Sonoma County Wedding

Alston and Alice chose such a beautiful venue in Hahns Fahden winery. It has this beautiful underground cave where the two lovers wanted to celebrate their wedding night dinner with family and friends. The winery also provided a gorgeous outdoor ceremony location among green shrubbery and small bass ponds. The two newlyweds were so into the sharing of the love they have for one another. A small intimate wedding was one way to make sure they had the time and space to make sure they visited with all their guests. They absolutely loved the whole gestalt, zen, ambiance of the whole wedding experience. Many family members flew in from Morocco and the East Coast where they grew up. California was their new adopted home and sharing such a beautiful venue with everyone was a high priority for choosing this great wedding venue. The fun and love and laughter was something they provided all on their own-of course!! Enjoy the time o f their lives…..

An Estate Wedding
