Last week Quinn Photography (Ty, myself and Ruth) traveled to Southern California to St Stevens Church in Alhambra, California for Andrew and Valerie Haug’s wedding. I have lived almost my whole life in California and have never been to Alhambra. I had to get the old map and GPS to figure out where Alhambra was. Driving up to the church was a pleasant surprise! It was located near the top of a hill over looking the San Gabriel Valley. The view from the church was expansive and the sky was smog free so the panoramic view was beautiful. The church was spectacular. Inside St Stevens is a treasure chest of art and color. The frescoes on the walls are amazing! Color everywhere and iconic scenes of Christ and his disciples adorned all the walls and ceilings.
Andrew and Valerie are a really special couple. Andrew lost his first wife four years ago soon after the birth of their son. He has been the sole care giver for the last four years while trying to run his chiropractic office. It was this past year he was at a church event when he was introduced to Valerie’s sister Grace. Well Grace took it upon herself to take it a step further and introduce Valerie to Andrew. Now, Valerie is a part of the happy story as the two of them have made the most special of commitments together. Congratulations to the two of them and may they live a blessed life together with Johan their son.
