Ruth and I decided to head out to San Francisco and take a few fun pictures at the Palace of Fine Art. While in the city we wanted to eat some dim sum so we left the house full of plans. It turned out our son, Ty and his girl friend Lauralee also planned a trip at the same time for Marin County. Their plans were executed much faster than expected as they encountered big crowds up at Mt Tamalpais and extreme cold at Stinson’s Beach. Soooooo we got together at the Palace and from there we all went to Ton Kiang’s on Geary and 23rd Ave. We gorged down some fabulous “warm” din sum and drank a lot of hot tea. It was only 54 degrees in the city and its not even summer yet for it to be so cold.
After lunch we strolled through Golden Gate Park. We needed the exercise since we inhaled our meals. We couldn’t drive in to the park as it was no car day at the park. A brisk walk and some amazing scenery really got us a little more comfortable with the cold day. I have never spent any time in the park so it was quite a treat.
